Bookings

Ride Information, Terms & Conditions.
At present we offer 1 hour treks (£45 per person) which are available hourly throughout the day. Please note, all rides are pre booked. We advise you book at least 3 days in advance during the busy summer period to avoid disapointment. Once booked in we require you to arrive 20 minutes prior to your ride leaving to be fitted with hats, fill out the relevant paperwork and be weighed in. We have a strict weight restriction of 13 stone (83kg). Please allow plenty of time to travel, especially during the summer season as the roads can be very busy.

We accommodate all levels of riders from complete beginners to experienced, and ages of 4 years and above.
All treks go at the pace of the least experienced rider. When booking we cannot always guarantee we will have experienced riders only out on one trek – most treks are of mixed ability. The fastest pace we will go is a trot if all riders are experienced and the ground/weather conditions are suitable. All rides are in single file to ensure the horses are all kept correct distances away from each other. This also makes it easier for the staff to keep an eye on all clients and horses.
All riders are assessed whilst on their horses so please be honest about your ability.

When booking a deposit of £45 is required if paying by card. If you wish to proceed with BACS payment, the full amount is due upon booking. Deposits are taken to safeguard us in the event you do not cancel your trek in advance, and do not turn up on the day. In the event of this happening, full payment for your ride shall be charged to your card. Please note, we do not accept cheque payments.

If for any reason you cannot make your trek, if you do not give us 24 hours notice of cancellation from the time you are due to go out on your ride, your deposit will be non-refundable and the full amount due shall be charged to your card.

If you do not book in with correct weights and we are unable to accommodate you, unfortunately your deposit is non refundable and the full amount shall be charged to your card. This applies even if you are within the 13 stone weight limit but over your booked horses weight limit on the day.

This is because all of our horses have there own individual weights they can carry and may already be booked for other clients. If you are over your booked weight but still within the 13 stone weight limit we will do our very best to shuffle horses around if possible to accommodate you.

For this reason it is very important that when booking in the correct weights are given. Please bear in mind this is your weight fully clothed including any outdoor clothing you may be wearing on the day.

All riders will be weighed before heading out to the yard to ensure they are within the correct weight limit for there horse. Our current weight limit is 13 stone (83kg) due to the type of horses and ponies we have on offer so please do not be offended if we cannot accommodate you!

Please bare in mind we are a Trekking Centre and not a Racing Yard! Any persons acting unsafe or unwilling to follow instructions from any of our staff will be asked to dismount their horse.

Safety is paramount at all times for clients, staff, the public and all horses on the rides.

Unfortunately our online booking facility is currently unavailable. If you would like to book you can either call the stables on 01470 582 419 between the working hours of 9am – 5pm throughout the week, or email us at skyetrekking@btconnect.com.

Please have accurate heights, weights and experience levels of all riders ready when booking. A deposit will be required of £45, payable by credit/debit card. Alternatively full payment can be made via BACS.
